The mechatronic unit combines electronic control with hydraulic or electro-mechanical actuation. A mechatronic fault cannot be confirmed simply because the transmission has a warning light, harsh shift or loss of drive.
Testing Before Replacement
- Fault environment and repeatability.
- Power, earth and communication integrity.
- Pump operation, pressure generation and pressure retention where measurable.
- Solenoid or actuator command versus actual response.
- Clutch and selector adaptation limits.
- Fluid contamination or internal clutch material that may damage a replacement unit.
Repair, Remanufactured Or Genuine New
Where technically suitable, the unit may be repaired at component level. When repair is not appropriate, a genuine-part remanufactured or genuine new unit can be quoted subject to availability. The option, coding requirements and warranty terms are explained before work begins.
