Entry petrol variants of the Octavia range.<\/p>\n<p>On the \u0160koda Octavia, the earliest sign of clutch wear on this gearbox is usually a shudder or vibration pulling away from a stop, most noticeable in traffic. Left long enough, it progresses to a flare in engine revs before drive properly engages, and eventually a burning smell under load.<\/p>\n<p>We diagnose with a full scan before quoting \u2014 clutch pack wear and mechatronic faults can present almost identically, and replacing a clutch pack when the actual fault is electronic (or vice versa) is the most common expensive mistake in this repair.
